My name is Colleen Comer. I’m married to Bob Comer and this year we celebrated 30 wonderful years of marriage. We have two sons: Mark, 28 and Michael, 26. Michael began working for Eagle this past year and Mark is in the mortgage industry. Both Mark and Michael will be marrying this year: Michael to our sweet Sarah on April 6th and Mark to our precious Carter on June 1st. We are so blessed to be adding these two lovely young ladies to our family and look forward to grandchildren much later down the road – No pressure kids 😉 !
I love anything to do with crafting, party planning, and interior design. I have a Cricut cutting machine that I absolutely love and use all the time for crafting things for our beach house, gifts, and party items. If I can find it on Pinterest, I can usually duplicate it and I love the challenge of that.
When it comes to sports, as a mom of two boys, I’ve watched my fair share of high school soccer and football. Michael played football for the Wofford College Terriers, which was a blast to watch, and he graduated from there. Mark graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, so as you can imagine, we love Carolina basketball. GO HEELS!
My favorite place to be, other than with Bob and our family, is Cherry Grove, SC. We have a little beach house there and it is truly our happy place. We love the beach, the water, boating, fishing, jet skiing, and spending time with our neighbors there. We love being outdoors and active there, as usually here in Conover, NC, we walk every morning in the dark, go to work, get home, eat, and veg out watching our favorite shows like Survivor, Longmire, Bull, or This is Us.
The best part of my job at Eagle is getting to work with Bob, Michael, and the rest of our crew, who have become extended family. It is a very relaxed, happy place to work and we genuinely care about each other and our customers. As owners, it’s important to Bob and I that the people working here love their jobs, their work place, feel challenged, and have every opportunity to be successful. I believe that has been key to the growth and success of Eagle Superabrasives, Inc. I believe our customers benefit from working with happy employees.
I am so grateful to God and my Savior, Jesus Christ, for the wonderful life He has given to me.
